I just would like to share a story that I had read years ago in a magazine that I really cannot remember what is the name of the mag, anyways, I really cannot forget this story because I was really touched by it and I do hope you guys will also love it.
This is a story about a girl named K, some of the words are changed because I don't memorize all the exact details how the story was written but still it's just the same, the words/phrases/scenarios/little details about the characters might not be exactly how the writer narrated it. I just added some details to make the story much more exciting. Again, I am not the writer, I just read it and just wanna share it with you. Here's how it goes.
My name is K and today is my birthday. As I made my way downstairs, my brother saw me and greeted me,
"Happy birthday K!" he said,
"Thanks!" I replied.
I was happily walking through the kitchen when my mom shouted
"K, Josh is here."
My face lightened up when I heard his name, Josh is my boyfriend for more than a year now and I am so in love with him. Even he doesn't have the time for me that much recently because of basketball, I still love him. As I see him outside, I was shocked to see a scar on his forehead,
"What happened to you?"
"No, don't mind me, I just bumped into an old cabinet this morning."
"Oh, okay, why don't you come inside?"
"No need, I just dropped by to give you this, Happy birthday K!" He smiled and it was the sweetest smile ever, but I feel something wrong though. He handed me a letter and a CD of my fave band, he's so sweet.
"Oh, thank you so much Josh."
"You're welcome", he hugged me so tight and kissed me for almost a minute. It was the best and longest kiss we ever shared in our entire relationship, I wish my parents weren't looking, but I am 16 already, they will understand. After the kiss Josh looked me in the eye and he hugged me again, there was something in his eyes that's telling me not to let go, he was smiling but his eyes were, what, sad?! He hold my hand and whispered
"I love you."
Then he left. I was left standing at the door when the phone rings,
"Hello K, so glad you are okay." It was Karen, my best friend. I was surprised about what she said but I didn't mind it because I am so happy.
"Karen, why shouldn't I be okay, it's my birthday, and Josh was so sweet, he gave me a gift and-" she interrupted me.
"K, yesterday, at the music store, Josh was shot, he is dead."
No, that's impossible, I just saw Josh awhile ago, he doesn't look dead, oh and the scar, and his eyes that's telling me not to let go, oh no, oh no...
I ran to my room and locked myself inside, I was crying my eyes out, why? We just shared a kiss, this cannot be. My mom entered the room but she did not say anything, maybe it was real, he is dead now. I leaned my head on my mom's shoulder and after that she said,
"Everything is going to be okay dear, happy birthday." She handed me the CD and letter that I left on the table, the gifts that Josh gave me. Mom kissed me on my forehead and left. I played the CD he gave me and I opened the letter from Josh, it made me cry much more when I read it, it said:
"K, I am sorry for the things that I have done to make you feel I don't love you, I am sorry because I do love you and I shouldn't have given you any reasons to even think for a second that I don't. I love you so much and I wish I could still be given a chance to show you much I do love you.
Josh :(
